A little about me
Hello. I’m Dr Anu Sayal-Bennett (just call me Anu!). As a consultant clinical psychologist, I’ve worked with adults, elders, children and adolescents in a wide variety of settings like the NHS, independently, voluntarily and even for the government! I’ve trained in a variety of psychological theories, but my clients have always been my greatest teachers, and the learning never stops. While I have a wealth of experience and qualifications, my aim is to share what I know in a lightweight and approachable way.

My experience
I’m curious, innovative and creative; I’ve been on the TV, the radio, in magazines and even a ‘Dove’ model to publicise their self-esteem campaign. Like you, I am far from perfect and have faced and overcome my own personal challenges - and yes, been in therapy too! I have chased my own demons and bear my wounds proudly. I’ve been there too, so if you’re considering therapy, know that you’ve already taken a meaningful first step, and I’d be glad to walk alongside you on the journey.

My ethos
I listen to what my clients need: one style does not fit all. That’s why, my practice is a bespoke blend of theories (systemic, humanistic, psychodynamic etc) - in other words, I mix approaches so that they are appropriately unique and relevant for you. The core of my work is grounded in empathy and compassion - working together to build a space that is respectful, accepting and free of judgement. When we build that, the impact of a good relationship is profound. It is my honour and a privilege to be at your service.
Between stimulus and response, there is a space - in that space lies our power to choose
